Computer Vision for Creative Explorations of the Library's Digital Collections

Selected item details: Untitled

Collaging through Space and Time: Computer Vision for Creative Explorations of the Library's Digital Collections is an interactive collage tool that allows users to "cut" subjects and objects from images and "paste" them unto a series of pre-selected backgrounds. All images in the current iteration of Collaging through Space and Time are taken from free-to-use collections from the Library of Congress.

This project was created by Library of Congress Junior Fellows Ilayda Dogan, Shauna-Kay Harrison, and Aisaiah Pellecer in the summer of 2024 in collaboration with LC Labs. To learn more about how this project was created, please view the project's documentation page. For details about how machine learning technologies were used, please refer to the The Use and Ethics of Machine Learning section of the documentation and the evaluation documents.
